We believe all artists should have a supportive workspace that promotes new skills that they can carry with them in their careers.
Practicing printmaking promotes collective exchange of new ideas and cultivates innovation.
All artists should have access to an affordable and inclusive printmaking shop.
History
Founded in 2018, Angela recognized the scarcity of printmaking studios in her area and decided to establish her own personal printmaking work studio. Driven by her passion, Angela secured sponsorships from respected printmaking facilities and artists, enabling her to acquire top-notch equipment and materials. The studio proudly features two exposure units, multiple workstations, a convenient cleanup station, a comprehensive array of printing tools, specialty inks, and a washout system.

Newark Youth Screen Printing & Research Scholarship
Launched in Spring 2024, Fruishun Press Studio offered a 2-month long research opportunity and an engaging pop-up screen printing workshop designed for Newark teens to explore and visually express their communities through the power of printable art.
The Newark Youth Screen Printing & Research Scholarship was a unique opportunity for teens to immerse themselves in creativity and discovery at the Newark Public Library. Through guided exploration of the library's archives, participants delved into the stories of local change makers, musicians, artists, and activists who had shaped Newark's vibrant culture. Using these inspirations, teens synthesized their findings into screen printable artwork at Fruishun Press Studio, capturing the essence of Newark.
